Even though we completely revised the Soul Surfer, the Pin-Tail Shape together with its All-Mountain / Powder Rocker still makes you float on groomed slopes as if it was bottomless powder! We just pimped our cruiser and made it a bit "greener": Thanks to a wooden veneer topsheet we could relinquish the common plastic topsheet and huge amounts of fiberglass. Combined with the new Völkl Premium lower beam hiding under the boards' minimalistic retro style, you get a flex that knows how to handle any situation. The Carbon Edition is not only lighter, but also more lively and offers smooth control when racing down the line. The setting also feels soft – no matter if in powder or on hard packed snow. Powerful turns have never been so effortless and gentle! This is where the wooden sidewalls with the new TPU dampening can show their skills: absorbing shocks and bumps. Despite loads of high-tech, the Soul Surfer stays true to its roots – it is no racing machine, that's what we have the Coal XT for, but a real Easy Rider.
